Visit some of Alsace's many medieval castles perched on hilltops. Among them, the Haut-Koenigsbourg, one of France's most visited castle is a must-see, offering breathtaking views on the Plain all the way to the Black Forest and the Alps. A few minutes away from our luxury hotel lies the lovely Hohlandsbourg castle featuring equally gorgeous views. The Mont Sainte Odile, situated on a mountain top in the Vosges, is the site of a monastery, very popular with both tourists and pilgrims attracted not just by the complex of buildings but also by the far-reaching views and the pagan wall that surrounds the mountain top.

On a rainy day, why not pay a visit to a few museums ? May we suggest the Unterlinden museum in Colmar featuring the inspired Issenheim Altarpiece, the Wurth collection of modern art in Erstein, the Modern Art Museum in Strasbourg. Equally fascinating, and a must-see with children, are Mulhouse's Train and Car museums, to name but a few.
